Volkert, Inc., founded in 1925, is a multi-disciplinary, full-service engineering and environmental firm that provides services to state departments of transportation, federal agencies, local and municipal governments, as well as private industry.

Volkert is rated as one of the top engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firms in the United States—ranking in the upper 1% of engineering design firms in the nation. The 2011 Engineering News-Record ranks Volkert #116 of the Top 500 Design Firms in the United States.

The company’s permanent staff of more than 600 employees includes experienced civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, environmental scientists, planners, real estates services specialists, CADD designers, surveyors, program/construction managers, and construction inspection personnel.

Headquartered in Mobile, Alabama, Volkert has additional design offices located throughout the southeastern United States. We also maintain construction services and real estate services offices throughout the geographic regions that we serve.
