TWO-DIMENSIONAL
COMPUTER GENERATED RENDERINGS:
RETURN

The simplest and most economical architectural and engineering illustration is the two-dimensional graphic.

It can be developed from the direct input of existing CAD drawings or individually drawn in various computer programs.  Plans and exterior elevations can be “colorized” and enhanced with “entourage” items, such as trees, etc., to create a sense of realism and dimension without the work effort required to develop full three-dimensional computer models.

One highly effective use of this technique is presenting multiple studies, alternative designs, and color schemes.  These can be produced in a short timeframe in response to accelerated deadlines.
