Since the early seventies, Volkert has provided environmental services that include environmental assessments and environmental impact studies for major thoroughfares; site assessments and Phase I and II investigations; delineation, creation restoration and permitting of jurisdictional wetlands; biological assessments to determine the existence of protected species; flora/fauna investigation; coastal zone management; groundwater monitoring; remedial actions; geochemical and hydrogeological investigations; hazardous waste studies; contamination assessments; asbestos surveys and abatements; and underground and aboveground storage tank management, assessment, and closure.

Whenever project development requires an environmental permit, Volkert is ready to assist in the studies and documentation necessary to satisfy the concerns of both regulatory agencies and the public. Among our areas of permit expertise are: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Part B, Corps of Engineers, Section 10 and Section 404; National Pollution Discharge Elimination System, solid waste, air and noise, remediation. Volkert Environmental Group’s experienced environmental scientists and engineers provide a variety of environmental services to industry, government, and institutions.
