a project that is on time and within budget.
As a part of our program management services, Volkert acts as
the owner's representative on the project. This can include responsibility
for selecting design engineers and/or architects, handling the bidding
process for contractors, negotiating contracts, value engineering,
construction engineering and inspection, maintaining project schedules,
staying within the client's budget, and closing out the project for
delivery to the owner. Examples of current projects Volkert has are
program management for a $64 million construction program for the Mobile
County, Alabama, Public Schools and program management for a $35 million
capital improvement program at the Alabama State Docks.
Volkert’s construction engineering inspection services are a
natural extension of our design services.
Volkert Construction Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Volkert & Associates, Inc., provides our clients with inspectors,
project engineers and quality assurance personnel who are experienced in
utility, bridge, and roadway construction inspection.
